A man faces charges after a drug search yesterday in Halifax.

Last evening, officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit,
assisted by West Division Community Response Officers, conducted a
search of a residence on Mountain Road. Officers seized marijuana,
hashish, cash and other equipment used in the sale of the drugs. A man
was arrested at the scene without incident.

A 43-year-old Halifax man is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial
Court on June 21 to face two charges of drug trafficking.

Drug activity often involves violence that puts innocent citizens at
risk and is detrimental to the overall safety of our communities. The
HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit investigates complaints and targets people
involved in the purchase and sale of drugs. Citizens are encouraged to
