Here are some pictures taken of the nearly completed Homewood Suites and Hampton Inn on the corner of Brunswick St and Cogswell St. This redevelopment of the former Citadel Hotel block has been one of the best executed redevelopments in the history of Halifax developments.

 There was not much of a gap between the closure of the hotel, demolition, excavation and construction beginning. Homewood Suites (entrance in courtyard behind building is already open and the Hampton Inn is opening in early June. New retail stores will occupy the ground floor of the Homewood Suites tower. The 17 storey apartment building on the south side of the property will be ready for occupancy later in the fall. Here are some pictures of the exterior of the building from the street as well as inside the courtyard.
