How’s Your #SoberOctober Going?

Here we are, three weeks into the Sober October challenge, and I’m not going to lie, I could go for a Guinness!  I have been working 16 hour days at the gym for the past 14 days and I have something BIG that I’ve been working on and that I’m just bursting to share, but not yet, so a Guinness wouldn’t go too far astray right now.  But I’m a man of my word and I’m going to stick it out for another week. One more week. One more week. One more week. The main reason I challenged myself to go alcohol free for the last 4 weeks was because I was prepping for my first ever fitness photo shoot   THIS is probably the biggest challenge that I’ve set for myself since becoming healthy. Getting in front of the camera with no shirt on, are you kidding me?  Sweet jeebus. I hadn’t been eating very well for the previous month and drinking beer on the weekend wasn’t helping. So, going alcohol free was the easiest way to make me eat clean, lose the empty calories from beer and get ready for this photo shoot. 3 weeks in to Sober October and I feel awesome. No hangover on Sunday. Getting up early and getting shit done on the weekends. Eating well. And I’ve leaned up A LOT. I’ve got some before pics that I may share once this is all over and done with. This has been an awesome experience and I’m looking forward to my photo shoot with Coal Photography tomorrow. I’m also looking forward to a celebratory beer next weekend.
