My Top 8 Workout Songs Right Now

Music is a huge part of my life. It always has been. I may not play the guitar well and I may not be the best signer in the world, but some of my fondest memories revolve around music. When I was younger, my dad and I would sit on the floor in my bedroom listening to his old records on the turntable I dusted off and had set up.  We would just sit there for hours and listen to the crackle of the speakers and hang out. Led Zeppelin, Supertramp, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, KISS… I loved them alland it was time we spent and shared together.  I loved every second of it. These days if I’m cooking, cleaning, working, writing, designing, no matter what it is I’m doing, there’s usually music on.  And when I get to hang out with my bro, which isn’t enough because we live 5,000km apart, singing and playing guitar with him almost brings a tear to my eye. I’m not sure what it is about music, but it can actually control my moods and emotions in my everyday life and that goes for in the gym too.  If I’m struggling through a workout and the right song comes on, look the eff out because I’m coming through and I’m not taking any prisoners. Here are my current top 8 workout songs: Jay-Z & Kanye West – Ni**as In Paris Linkin Park – Given Up Mumford & Sons – I Will Wait Kelly Clarkson – Stronger (This is my Jam!) Beast Mode – B.o.B. My Hero – Foo Fighters Fuel – Metallica Lose Yourself – Eminem For me, when I workout, the music doesn’t have to be heavy, it just has to be good. But when it’s heavy, I usually go into overdrive! Does music fuel your workouts? What’s playing in your earbuds when you’re at the gym? I’m always looking to add to my playlist! Music is the soundtrack of our lives. – Dick Clark ...
