At approximately 8:55 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of an attempted robbery from a person in the 1000 block of Lucknow St in Halifax. The 18 year old man from Halifax reported that he had withdrawn a sum of money from a bank on Spring Garden Road and then walked toward his residence. While he was walking along Lucknow St he was approached from behind by a man that grabbed his arm and demanded his wallet. When the victim hesitated, the suspect produced a knife and pointed it at the victim. The victim put his hands out to stop the knife and the suspect pushed his hands away causing the knife to fall to the ground. The suspect then pushed the victim to the ground and punched him in the head. The victim picked up the knife and began yelling for help. The suspect fled North bound on Lucknow Street The suspect did not take anything from the victim and the victim was not injured in this incident. The suspect is described as a white man, 5’10” tall, clean shaven, having a long face, wearing a gray hooded sweater with the hood up.
