HRP investigate bank robbery in Halifax

HRP patrol members responded to a robbery which occurred at the Royal Bank, 5805 Almon St. Halifax, just after 5pm. Staff stated that the suspect approached the teller and demanded cash, then fled the area after receiving a sum of money. It is not known whether a vehicle was involved or the direction of travel the suspect fled. No injuries occurred during the incident and no weapon was observed. The suspect was described as a white male in his 50s, 5’10” in height, white goatee, wearing a hard hat, sunglasses, blue hoodie and jeans. The incident is still under investigation by the General Investigative Section.
