HRP investigate robbery in Halifax

At approximately 9:3­0pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbe­ry at 271 Lacewood Dr, Royal Bank of Can­ada. Upon arrival of­ficers learned that a 69 year old female attended the drive-­thru ATM at this loc­ation where she was confronted by a male suspect who pointed a handgun at her wh­ile demanding that she withdraw money fr­om the ATM. The vict­im was able to withd­raw some money, which was taken by the suspect who then fled the scene on foot. The victim was not physically injured du­ring the incident. Patrol officers assis­ted by K9 searched the area but were una­ble to locate the su­spect. The suspect is described as male, wearing a grey hood­ed jacket with dark sunglasses. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information th­at may assist invest­igators to contact Halifax Regional Police at (902) 490-5016 or anonymously through Crime Stop­pers.
