HRP investigate two separate robberies

Stabbing / Robbery

Just before 5AM a taxi driver observed a male on Gottingen Street who was bleeding and stated he had been stabbed.   Numerous police units and EHS were dispatched.  The victim stated that he had met up with a female whom he had met the previous evening.  The female then produced a knife and demanded the victim’s wallet and cell phone.  The female then stabbed the victim three times in the arm and stomach area.  The suspect was last observed running north on Gottingen Street.  The victim was transported to the QEII by EHS with non life threatening injuries.  The suspect is described as being a black female, in her early 20’s with long brown, curly hair and wearing a red shirt and white pants.  There have not been any arrests at this time.  The file will be followed up by the General Investigative Section.

    Home Invasion \ Robbery

Shortly after 6AM the homeowners of a residence on Armview Avenue in Halifax awoke to find someone in their house.  They scared the suspect off and observed him running down Quinpool Road towards the rotary.  Numerous units attended and were able to locate the suspect on Roosevelt Street.  The suspect fit the description, was out of breath and sweating.  His pockets were overflowing with various items.  He was arrested and numerous items were found in his pockets belonging to the victim as well as a neighbour’s vehicle.  The suspect was charged with break and enter, theft and possession and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.
