HRP on Scene of a Suspicious Death – Dartmouth

At approximately 5:20 a.m. today, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Spring Avenue and Mount Edward Road. Officers located a deceased young male who had been shot lying on the sidewalk. The identity of the victim is still not known. This intersection and some surrounding streets have been closed to traffic as the investigation continues.

The investigation, led by the Homicide Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, is ongoing and Forensic Identification officers are continuing to process the scene.
