HRP overnight : Man arrested for indecent act / Robbery suspect sought after gas station held up

At approximately 12:40 am Halifax Regional Police responded to the report of a male performing an indecent act in the area of 2300 Gottingen Street.

Officers located and arrested a 43 year old man who will be make a court appearance Monday morning.

The man is charged with performing an indecent act and numerous breaches of court orders.

At approximately 3:10 am Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery at the Ultramar located at 2816 Gottingen Street.

A man entered the store, threatened the clerk with a hammer and demanded cash and cigarettes. The man obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes before leaving the area on foot.

The man is described as being approximately 30 years old, 5’10” tall, thin with a scruffy beard, and was wearing a black heavy winter coat with a sport logo on the front. The man was also wearing gloves, and had his face partially covered with a scarf.

The clerk was not injured during the incident.
