Robbery / Stabbing
At approximately 2:45 am members located a man near the rear entrance to the HRP HQ at 1975 Gottingen St, Halifax, suffering from stab wounds. The 56 year old man was walking in the area of Gottingen St and Cogswell St when he was approached by two men. These men stole the victim’s wallet and stabbed him in the arm and abdomen. The man was attended to by EHS paramedics and transported to hospital for, what are believed to be, non-life threatening injuries. The scene of the stabbing was located by members, no arrests have been made at this time HRP Forensic Identification members and members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing to investigate. The suspects are described as 1) white man in his late teens; 2) a white man in his thirties with a bald head.

Traffic Stop / Weapons
At approximately 9:55 pm Halifax Regional Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Kennedy Dr and Roleika Dr area of Dartmouth. During that traffic stop a loaded handgun was located by police. A 39 year old man from Dartmouth will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Monday July 31st to face a number of firearms related offences.
