Increased midday frequency of Alderney ferry service beginning Feb. 20

Halifax Transit is pleased to announce a pilot project that will offer increased frequency of midday harbour crossings on the Alderney Ferry.

Starting Tuesday, Feb. 20, Halifax Transit will offer 15-minute weekday service on the Alderney Ferry in both directions, beginning at 7 a.m. from Dartmouth and 7:15 a.m. from Halifax. Service between 8 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. will move to 30-minute intervals.

This service change is a pilot project intended to make midday travel between Dartmouth and Halifax more convenient. The project will be monitored on an ongoing basis to determine long-term feasibility.
