Indian Brook RCMP have charged an Indian Brook man with numerous offences following an assault on a 25-year-old Indian Brook woman.

At approximately 10:23p.m. Friday evening, Indian Brook and Enfield RCMP responded to a 911 call of an assault that had occurred at a residence on Meadow Brook Road in Indian Brook.

Police attended the scene and located 29-year-old Michael Thiebaux Jr. a short distance away. Thiebaux resisted arrest resulting in injuries to him and both arresting RCMP officers. Thiebaux and the RCMP officers were transported by police car to Colchester Regional Hospital where all three were treated for their injuries and released.

Michael Thiebaux Jr. has been remanded into police custody will be appear in Shubenacadie Provincial Court on Monday, January 25th, 2015 on numerous charges including Assault, Breach of Recognizance, Assault Police Officer, Attempting to Disarm a Police Officer and Uttering Threats.

The investigation is continuing with the Indian Brook RCMP.
