This recall involves certain models of Porter-Cable hammer drills and Black & Decker Drill/Drivers sold in Canada. The products are sold with a black side handle that attaches to the front of the drill.

The recalled products may be identified by the following model and UPC numbers:

Hazard identified: The side handle supplied with the drill may slip when the drill is in use and lead to loss of control, posing a risk of injury. As of October 23, 2018 the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 1 report of injury.

Consumers should stop using the hammer drill and contact Stanley Black & Decker Canada Corp. for a free replacement side handle.
