Inverness RCMP investigate body found in water, Inverness, N.S.

Inverness RCMP are investigating the death of a man found floating in MacIsaac’s Pond, Inverness earlier today.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., RCMP responded to a 911 call from walkers near Beach No.

1 Rd. indicating that an unresponsive male was floating in the water.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 55-year-old Lockport man deceased in the water near the shore. Preliminary investigation revealed that the male had been temporarily living on a boat in the area.

The cause of death is under investigation. At this time, circumstances do not appear suspicious.
