Is your seat belt on?

The RCMP wishes to remind the motoring public that it is not just their own life they are endangering when they fail to wear a seat belt.

Seat belt usage is not just for passenger safety; it also helps the driver to maintain control of the vehicle.

Members of the RCMP want the public to be aware that they will continue to monitor and enforce seat belt usage.

If you are found without your seat belt, do not expect a warning. A first offense for failing to wear a seat belt is $167.71.

The RCMP is committed to road safety and asks everyone to do their part.
