Weekly green cart service begins

HRM would like to advise residents that the summer weekly green cart service is now in effect.

This program runs until August 31.

Eligible residents can place their green cart out for collection weekly, even if it’s not full. Collection may begin as early as 7 a.m. Material may be placed curbside the evening prior to collection.

On completion of this summer service, collection returns to the regular two-week green cart/garbage schedule. For information on garbage limits, what goes in the green cart, and the Organics Green Cart and Garbage Collection Schedules, please visit www.halifax.ca or call 490-4000.

Note: Garbage will continue to be collected on the regular bi-weekly cycle.
