It was a true community effort to help us secure a location. We are humbled by the support we received and would like to acknowledge and thank our partners who helped make this happen, in particular: Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre, Adsum for Women & Children, and Nova Scotia Department of Community Services.

We are now working hard to get the space ready to welcome guests in early January. Along with our opening date, we’ll also soon share a list of items we will need and some donation drop-off times. Stay tuned!

Thank you again to everyone for their support, kindness and patience. While we wish there was no need for a winter emergency shelter and that everyone had access to safe, affordable housing, we remain committed to being there for people in our community experiencing homelessness and precarious housing.
