Having a baby usually means going a bit overboard with the home safety devices…it must be deeply ingrained is us once we have children because it never seems to go away. At least it hasn’t for us yet! I was so pleased when I heard how ridiculously loud our detection devices were the first time they went off by accident thanks to little fingers playing with the alarm pad. Why can you never find a broom to turn them off or remember the alarm code when you need it the most???

Most of us have experienced the shriek of a smoke alarm while cooking a meal or stepping out of a steamy shower, when there is no hazard present. With daylight saving time coming to an end it’s the perfect opportunity to give your home a quick once over.  Check all your alarms, replace the batteries, clean out the furnace and dryer filters and change your passwords!
