Kings District RCMP investigate fatal collision
At 6:44 p.m. a passing motorist notified police that a truck left the road and was in the ditch off Highway 12.
RCMP, Fire, and EHS personnel attended the scene and found a man deceased. Other occupants of the vehicle are being treated by EHS on scene with unspecified injuries.
Road conditions were reported to be snow covered at the time.
A collision re-constructionist was called to the scene and the investigation is ongoing. Highway 12 is currently closed in both directions from Butler Road (Kings County) to the north and New Ross (Lunenburg County) to the south. It is expected the road closure will be in effect for +/- 4 hours. Dept of Transportation has been contacted to assist with road closure.
