Kings District RCMP investigate robbery, Aylesford,, N.S.

A 19-year-old Kings County man has been arrested following a robbery at a local business. Today at approximately 12:16 p.m., Kings District RCMP responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at the Needs Convenience Store in Aylesford.

A 19-year-old Kings County man has been arrested following a robbery at a local business.

Today at approximately 12:16 p.m., Kings District RCMP responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at the Needs Convenience Store in Aylesford.

The investigation revealed that a man armed with a knife entered the store and demanded money from the lone male clerk. The suspect received a small amount of cash and left the area in a vehicle.

A short time later, the suspect vehicle was located near exit 11 on Highway 101. The lone driver was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect remains in police custody and the investigation is ongoing with the Kings District RCMP.
