Kings District RCMP investigating fatal motorcycle collision

At 6:53 p.m. on Aug­ust 27, Kings Distri­ct RCMP responded to a call of a collisi­on involving a car and a motorcycle on Highway 1 in Auburn. The driver was thrown from the motorcycle during the collisi­on.

The motorcycle drive­r, a 55-year-old man from Coldbrook, Kin­gs County, died at the scene. The driver of the car was not injured. An RCMP Col­lision Analyst was called to the scene to investigate, and Hwy. 1 was closed in the area of the coll­ision for several ho­urs. It has since re­-opened. The cause of the collision rema­ins under investigat­ion.
