At 11:00 PM. East members responded to the intersection of Jackson Road and Victoria Road to a report of an agitated woman carrying two knives attempting to stop traffic.
At 11:10 PM a call was received from a Pizza store on Albro Lake Road that a female was inside the store demanding free food. The female began to approach the responding officers with a steak knife in each hand. She was non responsive to verbal commands and eventually struck with a CEW (conductive energy weapon) causing her to drop her weapons. There were no injuries received by Officers, staff at the Pizza store or the suspect.
A 43 year old female was arrested and taken to the Dartmouth General for a medical assessment. She remains at the hospital and will be facing the following charges: Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, 88(1), Assault with a weapon, 267(a) and theft and possession under, 334(b) and 355(b).
