[Every Friday Short Presents features a fashion and beauty related blog post, from inspirational outfit ideas to in-depth look at trends spotted directly on the runway. I read a lot of fashion blogs, and watch a lot of Fashion Television and I just write about when I like what I see]

It’s that time again, oh how I love the energy of people on Friday. For some it is the end of a long gruelling work week, and people are hopefully looking forward to some peace and quiet in preparation for the week to follow. If you’re anything like me you are quite the contrary; you completely bulldoze right through the weekend wondering where all your “spare” time went. Whether you are in column A or column B, you can always benefit from a little fabulous fashion fix before you head into your retreat or the heart of your work week.

Today’s Fashion Friday Post is inspired by ‘Layered Clothing’

With the cold air on the horizon and the Halifax Oval getting closer and closer to completion, layered shirts, and sweaters are a must. This oversized silk shirt would at first appear to be a summer shirt, once tucked into my favourite blue accordion skirt seen below now makes it’s debut front and centre.

By adding opaque panty hose under the skirt, and a long sleeved shirt under the blouse; this outfit is wind ready. You could also go so far as to add a blazer, scarves, hats, and other layers.

I love these looks:

This look is a little too matchy matchy for me, with the yellow belt and yellow scarf, but I like her effort. I think her dress is a bit too loud for her unruly hair; I think that if she tied it up in a undone bun it would have looked super chic.

Happy layering blog readers.
