Learn to save a life with First Aid and CPR training

The Canadian Red Cross is an industry leader in the delivery of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) approved First Aid and CPR training courses.

Throughout Nova Scotia, the Canadian Red Cross and our Training Partners facilitate first aid training programs. These programs are designed to meet business requirements, such as location and course scheduling. They also are tailored to address different learning styles and previous experiences.

According to OH&S legislation, the number of employees required to be trained in the workplace varies. If you have between 1-19 employees working per shift, at least one person on site must be trained in Emergency First Aid. If your workplace has 20-99 employees on site, at least one person must be trained in Standard First Aid.

Red Cross First Aid and CPR certifications are accepted across the country (local OH&S requirements apply) and are valid for a period of three years.

The Canadian Red Cross also offers first aid training courses to the public. Private group training opportunities are available by request. More information on Red Cross First Aid and CPR.
