LED Streetlight Conversion Update – District 4

Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 (Halifax, NS) - Residents were previously advised of work that will take place in District 4 (Cole Harbour – Westphal) to convert traditional streetlights to new energy efficient LED streetlights. Work will continue on various streets throughout District 4 over the next week. Road users are advised that crews expect to be working on the following higher volume streets during the upcoming week: Auburn Drive Lake Major Road Main Street Cole Harbour Road Work on these streets will generally take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, but may also include some evening and weekend work. For short periods (less than one hour at a time), traffic signals on these streets may be set to flashing red or possibly turned off completely to accommodate the work. Motorists are reminded that when signals are flashing red in all four directions the intersection must be treated as a four-way stop. If any signals are turned off, traffic control personnel will be controlling the intersection. The municipality regrets any inconvenience the work may cause. Source: Release
