Letting Go!

letgo

As a parent, some of the toughest times are when you have to let your baby go. Starting daycare, walking to school on their own, a first date, drivers license, college…and more.

As hard as it can be, you know it’s best for them so they can continue to grow and develop and be the best they can be. If you know the feeling, you’ll certainly be able to relate to what we’re about to share.

After a lot of thought and discussion, Meghan, Sean and I have made the difficult, yet very exciting decision to find a new home for Urban Parent. While we absolutely LOVE the business and are thrilled at what we’ve been able to do with it over the last 5 years given the demands of our other jobs/businesses and life in general, we have come to realize that best way to continue with this success is with a new leader. New ideas, new approaches, new cities and more! There’s so much potential with the Urban Parent brand and we’re so excited about what a fresh perspective would bring to the business.

We’re starting our search and wanted to let you, our loyal followers know, as we suspect some of you may be the perfect match we’re looking for. We don’t want to sell to “just anyone” and are willing to wait for the right person/people to come along so it’ll be business as usual for both Urban Parent Halifax and Urban Parent St. John’s until that time.

You know Urban Parent, you know what we’re all about and what we stand for – so if you are the right fit or know someone who is – please send me a note. We’re so excited about the next phase of Urban Parent and know that it will only continue to help busy parents stay connected to their local community.

Thanks for your support to help us find the next owner of Urban Parent!

Cheers,
Sarah
