Life Threatening Injuries after Downtown assault

Members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating an assault with Life Threatening Injuries.

At approximately 01:14hrs, police responded to a report of a disturbance involving several people in the area of the 1700 Block of Brunswick Street in Halifax.  Responding members located an unresponsive male on the sidewalk just east of Brunswick Street on Prince Street. The adult male was transported to the QE2 Hospital with life threatening injuries. Police have one adult male in custody and remain on scene in the area. Police are not looking for any additional suspects at this time. This matter is in the early stages of the investigation and limited details are available at this time.
