Nova Scotians can enjoy locally grown and produced food right from the truck at the Select Nova Scotia Food Truck Rally in Wolfville today, Nov. 13.
Participating food trucks include Mortiscycle, the Edible Sideshow Food Truck, Ol’ School Donuts, Tin Pan Alley, Halifax Press, and Nomad Gourmet will all participate in the rally which is a part of the Devour! Film Festival happening in Wolfville, Nov. 12-16.
“Local is all around us. And, the more money we spend locally, the more that money stays here to support jobs in our communities,” said Agriculture Minister Keith Colwell. “The goal of Select Nova Scotia, and events like Devour and the food truck rally, is helping to create the conditions that will fuel the success of local producers.”
The food truck rally is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Robie Tufts Park in Wolfville.
“The Select Nova Scotia Food Truck Rally at Devour is the perfect union of cool food trends, community and engagement”, said chef Michael Howell, executive director of Devour!. “Devour! is meant to embrace all passions and all tastes. Wolfville will be abuzz with lovers of street food, lovers of good food and lovers of local food.”
