Lunenburg County District RCMP investigate drowning, Mahone Bay, N.S.

On August 20, 2015 at approximately 1:00 a.m., Lunenburg County District RCMP responded to a report of a missing person from the Martin’s River area. A 66-year-old male had failed to return home and had been last seen walking in the area of the Mahone Bay Water Reservoir shortly before noon on August 19.

Officers were actively looking for him when at 3:20 p.m. this afternoon they located the male deceased and floating in the lake. Police do not suspect foul play. An autopsy is pending.

Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
