Lunenburg District RCMP has laid several charges related to historical sexual assaults. In 2012, information came forward to the Lunenburg District RCMP about alleged sexual assaults involving one man and three youths between 1975 and 1978 in Lunenburg and Kings Counties.

In 2012, information came forward to the Lunenburg District RCMP about alleged sexual assaults involving one man and three youths between 1975 and 1978 in Lunenburg and Kings Counties.

As a result, on August 26, 2015, 61-year-old Brian David Fogelson of Venice, Florida appeared in Bridgewater Provincial Court on a variety of sexual assault related charges.

Lunenburg District RCMP believe there could be other possible victims and would like to speak with anyone who feels they may have experienced a similar circumstance. Individuals are asked to call the Lunenburg District RCMP office at (902) 527-5555. Citizens can also call Crime Stoppers anonymously anytime at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by their Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award from $50 – $2000.

Fogelson has been released on conditions and is scheduled to return to Bridgewater Provincial Court on December 2, 2015.
