Guysborough District RCMP investigate fatal house fire, Sherbrooke, N.S.

Guysborough District RCMP are currently at the scene of a fatal house fire on Senora Rd. in Sherbrooke.

At approximately 9:00 a.m. this morning, officers responded to a report of a house fire on Senora Rd.

in Sherbrooke. The Sherbrooke Volunteer Fire Department and Liscombe Volunteer Fire Department managed to extinguish the fire, however a preliminary investigation revealed that a 57-year-old female was found deceased within the residence. Personal details about the victim are not being released at this time.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious, however the Fire Marshal will be attending in order to assist with the investigation. Our thoughts are with the woman’s family during this difficult time.

The investigation is continuing.
