Man arrested after assaulting 3 people in Halifax

Police have charged a man in relation to assaults that occurred on Sunday morning in Halifax.

At approximately 2 a.m., police responded to an assault that occurred on 1500 block of Argyle Street in Halifax. A man assaulted two women who were known to him and then proceeded to assault a bystander.

One of the women was transported to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Officers arrested the man as he attempted to leave the area.

A 24-year-old Halifax man is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of assault, assault causing bodily harm and causing a disturbance.
