Via Truro Police:
On the morning of September 2, the Truro Police Service responded to multiple calls reporting a vehicle that had struck a house on East Prince Street. The incident occurred at approximately 10:20 am, prompting officers to quickly patrol the area.
A 57-year-old man from Debert, who had fled the scene on foot, was apprehended by police shortly afterward. The suspect is now facing several charges, including failure or refusal to comply with a breath sample demand, property damage, operation of a vehicle while prohibited, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to stop after an accident.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on September 25, 2024. Due to the pending court appearance, the individual’s name is being withheld at this time.
