Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

A man wanted in connection with an attempt murder in July has been
arrested in Montreal.

On August 16, police responded to the 200 block of Willett Street at
3:33 p.m. and located a 37-year-old man in his apartment suffering from
severe head injuries. The victim’s vehicle was stolen in the incident
and later recovered in Montreal. A male youth and a female youth were
arrested on August 18 in Truro and were charged in relation to this
matter. On September 1, a warrant was issued for a third person wanted
in connection with this incident.

As a result of the combined efforts by the HRP/RCMP Integrated General
Investigation Section (GIS), and Service de Police de la Ville de
Montréal, 20-year-old Antron Corey Dann was arrested on September 3
in Montreal. GIS Officers will transport Dann back to Halifax and it is
expected that he will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Friday.
