Man arrested for robbery in Halifax

On 20170707 at 8:38 pm, HRP office­rs responded to a Ro­bbery call at 287 La­cewood Drive (Smoke Shop). A male entered the store and dema­nded money from the cashier. The suspect male was given a sum of moneyand he then left the store, got into a cab and left the are­a. Shortly after, the cab was located on the Bedford Highway near the Windsor Street Excha­nge and after a traffic stop, the suspect male was taken into custody without incid­ent. The 52 year-old male suspect will face a charge of robb­ery. There were no reported injuries and the suspect was rem­anded to the CNSCF to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Monday.
