On 20170707 at 8:38 pm, HRP officers responded to a Robbery call at 287 Lacewood Drive (Smoke Shop). A male entered the store and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect male was given a sum of moneyand he then left the store, got into a cab and left the area. Shortly after, the cab was located on the Bedford Highway near the Windsor Street Exchange and after a traffic stop, the suspect male was taken into custody without incident. The 52 year-old male suspect will face a charge of robbery. There were no reported injuries and the suspect was remanded to the CNSCF to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Monday.
