Man arrested for urinating in Pleasant Street yard, trying to punch homeowner

At 11:30 pm East members responded to the 100-200 block of Pleasant Street to a report of an intoxicated male urinating in the complainants yard.  
 
The male was said to have attempted to punch the home owner as police were responding.  Members arrested a 44 year old male at the scene.  During the arrest he threatened to kill the officers and resisted arrest. He was then transported the Halifax Police station and processed at booking. While being placed in a cell the male attempted to assaulted an officer and grabbed at his handgun.  Neither the accused, complainant nor the officer sustained injury during the altercations.
 
Charges:  Utter death threats X2, assault, resist arrest, assault police officer, attempt to disarm police.  The accused will have a bail hearing later this morning.
