Man arrested after early morning Argyle Street assault

A man faces charges from Halifax Regional Police related to an assault on July 23 in Halifax.

Dorelle Trevya Parsons, aged 31, was arrested yesterday in Dartmouth by the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. He is due to appear in Halifax provincial court today to respond to the assault charge.

Police responded to a disturbance report at 3:54 a.m., which happened outside an establishment on Argyle Street, in the 1600 block. Officers found a man on the sidewalk, unable to respond. The man was taken to hospital due to severe injuries.

There are no efforts to locate other suspects currently.
