Man arrested in Spryfield homicide

Police have arrested a man in relation to a homicide that occurred in Halifax on August 16th.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. police responded to a report of a stabbing on Twin Oaks Road. Officers located a man who had been stabbed. The 32-year-old man was transported to hospital where he later died.

Officers arrested a 36-year-old man at the scene without incident.

Members from the Special Investigations Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing to investigate the case. At this time, investigators do not believe that this was a random incident.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service is conducting an autopsy today. Further updates will be provided when available.
