Man assaulted in South End Halifax

On July 8th, 2020 at approximately 1220 am Halifax Regional Police were called to the Nantucket bus terminal in Dartmouth regarding a 30-year-old male who had been assaulted with an edged weapon. Police located the male and learned that he was involved in an altercation in the area of Inglis Street and Queen Street in Halifax between 8:30 p.m. and midnight on July 7th, 2020. He then took a Metro Transit bus to Dartmouth where members of the public saw his wound and called Police.

During the altercation he suffered a non-life threatening wound. He has been treated for his injury.

The investigation is ongoing, the incident is not believed to be random.   There is no suspect description available at this time.
