Man Assaulted On Downey Road


Halifax District RCMP are currently investigating an Assault with a Firearm which occurred on Downey Rd, North Preston.  
On 2012-03-09 at 9:59 p.m a male was walking on Downey Rd when he was approached by three males and assaulted by one of the males.  A fourth male attended and pointed a firearm at the victim of the assault.  Both subjects departed the scene on foot and were later located by Halifax RCMP.  Both males age 20 and 19 were arrested without incident.  One has been released and will be attending court facing an assault charge, the second male is being held in custody and will be charged with various weapons offences.   The victim received minor injuries.  All parties are known to each other. 
The Halifax RCMP along with the Integrated General Investigation Section continue to investigate.
