Man Buys Lotto Tickets, Then Steals Cash Register

At 9:15 P.M. Halifax Regional Police officers responded to what was initially reported as a robbery at 744 Waverly Rd in Dartmouth, Patton’s General Store. 

At 9:15 P.M. Halifax Regional Police officers responded to what was initially reported as a robbery at 744 Waverly Rd in Dartmouth, Patton’s General Store. 

A 20 year old male who was working alone in the store reports that a male came in to the store and bought some lottery tickets, paid in cash and then left. A few minutes later the same male returned to the store, grabbed the cash register off of the counter and fled the store. He was seen getting in to a white 4 door car. The clerk was not injured or threatened during the incident. The suspect is described as a white male, brown curly hair, unshaven, wearing a two-tone blue golf shirt. At this time the suspect has not been located and the matter is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police at 490-5020.
