Man charged after threatening and shooting at two people

Annapolis District RCMP has charged a man following a serious incident in Torbrook.

Yesterday, at approximately 9:50 a.m., Annapolis District RCMP responded to a firearms complaint at a home on Torbrook rd. RCMP officers learned that a man and a woman had attended the residence to drop off food to a man known to them.

When they arrived, the man they were expecting to meet exited the house. A few minutes later, a second man, also known to them, exited the home, threatened the two who had brought food, and then shot at them with a shotgun.

The 46-year-old man and 37-year-old woman, both from Greenwood, fled the area in their vehicle. They were not physically injured.

At approximately 11:25 a.m., Annapolis District RCMP, assisted by Kings District RCMP, safely arrested the two men who voluntarily exited the home.

That afternoon, a search warrant was executed at the residence. During the search, RCMP officers located and seized a shotgun, ammunition and powder believed to be cocaine.

  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
