Man charged with cannabis in vehicle

On October 26, just after 11:00 p.m., Victoria County RCMP conducted a check stop on the Cabot Trail in Nyanza.

During the checkpoint, police determined one driver had cannabis in his vehicle.  RCMP officers searched the vehicle and as a result, served the 64-year-old male driver a Summary Offence Ticket for Illegally Transporting Cannabis in a Vehicle contrary to Section 23 of the Cannabis Control Act. The Cannabis was readily accessible to the driver.
