Members in the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section have charged a man in relation to a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth earlier this week.
On April 10, at 1:50 a.m., officers responded to a robbery at the Ultramar gas station located at 219 Pleasant Street in Dartmouth. A man entered the store and produced a knife. He received an undisclosed amount of cash from the clerk and fled on foot. Patrol officers and K-9 unit checked the area but could not locate the suspect.
Following the investigation, 41-year-old Philip Wayne Macleod of Dartmouth was arrested later that day in connection with the incident. He was held in custody yesterday and is facing robbery charges. It was also determined that he was wanted by Bible Hill RCMP for other offences. He was remanded into custody yesterday and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court later today.
