Police arrested a man following a search in Trenton.

On August 19th at approx. 2:30 p.m., the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU), along with the assistance of the New Glasgow Police Service, executed a search warrant at a residence on Spruce Street.

A 41-year-old male was arrested without incident. Police seized 5000 unstamped cigarettes, crack cocaine and a long barreled firearm.

The man was released from custody and will appear in Pictou Provincial Court on December 1st, 2014 to charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Unstamped Tobacco under the Excise Act and unsafe storage of a firearm under the Criminal Code. The investigation continues.
