Man faces drug charges, Annapolis County, N.S.

RCMP in Annapolis County have arrested one man and laid drug charges after a search in North Williamston.

On April 9th, 2014 at approx. 9 a.m., Annapolis Street Crime Unit members, assisted by Annapolis District RCMP and Yarmouth Federal Operations Unit members, executed a search warrant at a residence on Middle Road in North Williamston, Annapolis County.

Officers dismantled a grow operation, seized growing equipment and seized over 20lbs of dried marijuana. Kenneth Lohnes, age 49, was arrested at the home and is facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of trafficking, Cultivation of Marijuana and Possession of Cannabis Resin (hashish). He is scheduled to appear in Annapolis Royal Provincial Court in July 2014.
