Man faces drug charges, Chester Basin, N.S.

Lunenburg County RCMP and the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Unit, with assistance from investigators with the Drug Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division arrested a man following a vehicle search on Highway 103 in Chester Basin.

Lunenburg County RCMP and the South Shore Integrated Street Crime Unit, with assistance from investigators with the Drug Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division arrested a man following a vehicle search on Highway 103 in Chester Basin.

On Thursday, August 28th, 2014 at 6:51 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 103 in Chester Basin in relation to a drug investigation. As a result, a 27-year-old male from the Halifax area was arrested without incident. During a search of the vehicle a quantity of cocaine was seized.

The 27-year-old male from the Halifax area is facing a charge of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking. He has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on December 17th, 2014.

The investigation is continuing.
