A man faces impaired driving charges by drug and drug charges after a hit and run motor vehicle collision that occurred early this morning in Halifax.
At 12 a.m., police responded to a hit and run motor vehicle collision in the 200 block of Lacewood Drive. Officers searched the area and located a vehicle matching the description a short time later. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was arrested without incident.
A forty-two-year old Hammonds Plains man faces charges of failing to remain at the scene of an accident, impaired operation of a motor vehicle by drug, possession of cocaine and possession of ecstasy. He was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on September 6.
