At 11:19 PM yesterday, Colchester District RCMP responded to a call of a single vehicle collision on Hwy. 2 involving a motorcycle that had lost control and left the roadway. The driver was located by police at a nearby home and arrested. He was injured and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
When given the blood demand by RCMP officers at the hospital, the driver, a 22-year-old man from Onslow Mountain, refused the demand. He is facing charges of Impaired Driving and Refusing the Blood Demand. He is scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court on October 11, 2017.
The investigation is ongoing.
